1872 Creation at Saint-Amarin (68) of the first envelope factory by the Vuillard brothers.
1901 Pierre Ponsonnet partners René Garnier to create the company Garnier et Ponsonnet based in the centre of Annonay.
1914 The state of war incites the company to build its own machines, both for gumming and folding envelopes and for the production of registers and copybooks. The company employs a staff of 115.
1978 The company Vuillard in Alsace becomes a subsidiary of Garnier et Ponsonnet. They now form a single company: Garnier Ponsonnet Vuillard, later to become GPV.
1984 Installation in the new premises in Davézieux where the industrial and administrative buildings cover a surface area of 71 000 m².
1992 First installation in the east: FRAMA in Hungary.
1994 The French market discovers the Post Bloc: a block of envelopes: exclusive to GPV.
1996 Creation of GPV Romania.
1997 A new subsidiary: Eurokraft (specialised in gussets and pockets).
1998 GPV France merges with the Navarre de Roanne paper manufacturers.
1999 Acquisition of the British company, Chapman. GPV enters the leading European market.
2001 Chapman expansion.
2002 Opening of GPV Moldavia.
Creation of GPV Bulgaria.
2003 Construction of the new GPV Romania factory.
FRAMA factory extension and creation of GPV Russia.
Total reconstruction of the Chapman factory.
Acquisition of Docsourcing, a company specialised in e-procurement.
2004 Acquisition of a majority stake in the British company, Heritage.
2005 Reorganisation of GPV France into two separate divisions: Trade Business and Technical Products.
2007 Strategic agreement signed with Curtis.
Total acquisition of Heritage in the UK.
